What’s New In The 2026 Jeep Meridian?

The biggest change for 2026 is the addition of sliding 2nd-row seats on the Limited (O) and Overland variants. The middle row now offers up to 140mm of fore-aft movement, allowing owners to balance legroom between the 2nd and 3rd rows or free up additional boot space when required.

Jeep has also revised the seating geometry, offering increased recline for better passenger comfort. The updated seat mechanism allows easier access to the 3rd row, making the Meridian more usable when all 7 seats are occupied.

Apart from this update, there are no changes to the exterior design or overall feature list of the SUV.

Features And Safety

The 2026 Meridian continues to offer premium features such as a panoramic sunroof, dual-zone climate control, powered and ventilated front seats, a 10.1-inch touchscreen infotainment system, and a fully digital instrument cluster. 

On the safety front, the SUV offers over 70 active and passive safety features, including multiple airbags, electronic stability control, and ADAS on select variants.

Engine And Drivetrain

Powering the Meridian is the familiar 2L diesel engine producing 170PS and 350Nm, paired with either a 6-speed manual or a 9-speed automatic gearbox. Higher variants also offer Jeep’s Selec-Terrain all-wheel-drive system.

Prices for the 2026 Jeep Meridian with sliding second-row seats start at Rs. 30.01 lakh (ex-showroom), while the overall Meridian range starts from Rs. 23.33 lakh. It continues to rival SUVs like the Toyota Fortuner, Skoda Kodiaq and MG Gloster.
