JSW Motors Tease Jetour T2 SUV; Dealer Recruitment Begins | V3Cars
JSW Motors have officially teased their upcoming SUV, the Jetour T2 SUV, through a front page advertisement in The Economic Times. The ad invites dealer partners to join JSW’s retail network, suggesting that the brand’s plan to launch their first standalone model outside of the JSW MG Motor India partnership is officially underway.
JSW Jetour T2 Teased Ahead Of Late-2026 Launch

The teaser image shows the SUV’s front profile. It highlights the circular LED headlamps with horizontal LED DRLs, pixel-style LED fog lamps, an upright bonnet, a rugged bumper and prominent wheel arches. The overall silhouette resembles the Jetour T2 sold in various global markets. We expect the India-spec model to carry JSW badging instead of the Jetour nameplate.
JSW Jetour T2 Expected Powertrain Specs
JSW are expected to offer the T2 SUV with a range-extender electric powertrain. Essentially, a range extender is an electric vehicle with a backup generator. In the case of the T2, the petrol engine functions purely as a generator to charge the battery while twin electric motors power the wheels.
This means the SUV will primarily drive like an electric vehicle, while the petrol engine eliminates range anxiety by generating electricity when needed. In global markets, the T2 range-extender is offered in both front-wheel drive and all-wheel drive layouts. It remains to be seen which drivetrain configuration JSW will introduce here.
Jetour T2 Design And Dimensions

The Jetour T2 features a boxy SUV design that draws inspiration from the Land Rover Defender. In terms of dimensions, it is slightly larger than the Mahindra Scorpio-N with a length of 4700mm, width of 2000mm and a height of 1875mm. It’s wheelbase stands at 2800mm. Built on a monocoque platform, the T2 aims to balance urban comfort with light off-road capability.
JSW Jetour T2 Expected Prices And Rivals
While JSW have not officially revealed pricing, the 5-seat, front-wheel-drive T2 range extender retails at the equivalent of around Rs. 35 lakh in the UAE. With local assembly and selective localisation, the India-spec model could be positioned competitively within the premium SUV space. We expect it to sit above mainstream D1-segment electric SUVs such as the Harrier EV and XEV 9S but below luxury ICE SUVs such as the BMW X1 and Mercedes-Benz GLA.
