June 2022 Cars Sales Analysis - SUV YoY, MoM Change, 6-Month Trend | V3Cars

In this June 2022 cars sales analysis article, we’ll look at the YoY and MoM change in sales figures of all SUVs in India. We’ll also share our observations based on the sales data and possible reasons behind a massive increase or drop in sales, where applicable. Lastly, the table with monthly sales of all SUVs for the last 6 months will give you an idea about their 6-month sales trend.

SUV Segment June 2022 Car Sales - YoY Change

Among the SUVs, the Tata Nexon and Hyundai Creta are the top 2 performers followed by Tata Punch and Hyundai Venue
Only 4 SUVs managed to enter the 5-figure club, which includes 2 cars from Tata (Nexon and Punch) and two from Hyundai, the Creta and the Venue
In terms of YoY change, excluding the low-volume SUV figures, the Toyota Fortuner posted a 470%+ improvement and was the top gainer
The Mahindra Thar and the Toyota Urban Cruiser were also solid performers and recorded a YoY growth of 242% and 105%, respectively
Among the notable top losers are Vitara Brezza and Hyundai Alcazar, each posting a 66% and 36% decline in YoY numbers

SUV Segment June 2022 Car Sales - MoM Change

The Fortuner was the also top MoM gainer in June 2022 MoM with 165% improvement in production
Some notable gainers are Gloster, Kona Electric and Kiger with all 3 reporting an MoM gain of between 150 and 200%
Among the notable top MoM losers are Brezza and S-Cross recording an MoM decline of 57.3% and 51.2%, respectively
