The Kia Carnival facelift was spotted undisguised in South Korea recently. Various reports suggest that the updated Carnival MPV from Kia was spotted during its ad shoot. The Kia Carnival in these spy shots are the updated version of the India-bound KA4 MPV Kia India showcased at the Auto Expo 2023. So let’s take a look at the changes over the KA4.

Kia Carnival Facelift MPV Spied Undisguised

The Kia Carnival KA4 made its global debut in 2020 and Kia have already given it a thorough update. The new Kia Carnival facelift looks more sophisticated than the plain jane design of the KA4 that was showcased at the Auto Expo. New styling elements such as the updated LED headlamps with LED DRLs, connected LED tail lamps are in line with Kia India’s latest offerings such as the Seltos and Carens facelift that were launched this year.

The upper grille of the new Carnival features chrome studs while the lower grille features a radar sensor for ADAS features and a faux silver skid plate underneath. The connected LED tail lamps, roof-mounted spoiler and skid plates on the rear bumper make the Carnival facelift look a lot more premium than its predecessor. The MPV that was spied features a sunroof too, albeit a single-pane unit instead of a panoramic one. However, we expect the India-spec Carnival to offer a dual-pane sunroof as it is a highly aspirational feature for Indian car buyers. Meanwhile, the body coloured C-pillar now feature dimples to add a little bit of texture to the otherwise flat side profile of the Carnival KA4.

While the interior of the Kia Carnival facelift is not visible in the spy shots, expect a host of tech features, including twin curved displays for the driver and infotainment functions and premium upholstery and materials all around.

Kia Carnival Facelift India Launch And Rivals

The new Kia Carnival facelift is expected to go on sale in India in 2014. When launched, the D2-segment MPV will have no direct rivals in the country. The new Toyota Innova Hycross is the closest competitor to the new Kia Carnival. Since the new Kia Carnival sports an SUV-esque design, it could also serve as an alternative to the D2-segment 3-row SUVs such as the MG Gloster, Jeep Meridian and Skoda Kodiaq.
