We recently managed to secure the list of most notable features of the Windsor top model. Additionally, since the Windsor EV is based on the Cloud EV, we can also expect it to borrow some of those features but our source hasn’t given us a clear confirmation about the same. Let’s go through each of them.
MG Windsor EV Top Variant Features
From our source, we learned that the Windsor top variant will get the following features:
- Aerodynamic design
- EV-specific platform
- Battery heating (to improve battery life and range in colder driving conditions)
- Seats with comfort cushioning
- Rear seat 135-degree recline
- 6-way power driver seat
- Flush door handles
- 18-inch machined alloy wheels
- Soft-touch dashboard with wooden accents
- 360-degree camera
- LED DRLs
- Illuminated MG logo
- LED projector headlamps
- LED tail lamps
- 8.8-inch full-colour LCD instrument cluster
- 15.6-inch infotainment/touchscreen
- Printed antenna (instead of pole or shark-fin type)
- 256-colour adjustable ambient lighting
- Panoramic glass roof
- Subwoofer in the boot
Considering the segment and expected price range, we also expect to see the following features in the Windsor but they’re not confirmed by our source yet:
- Tilt and telescopic steering
- Split-folding rear seats
- Front armrest
- Rear armrest
- Auto AC with rear AC vents
- Cruise control
- Steering-mounted controls
- All power windows
- Power mirrors with power folding
- Auto wipers
- Rear defogger
- Electronic parking brake with auto hold

MG Windsor EV — 3 Features It’s Not Likely To Get
Even though it seems like the MG Windsor is quite loaded, we all know that it’s based on the Cloud EV. So, we are expecting MG to Indian-ize the Cloud EV with an appropriate set of features. For instance, the Cloud only get 4 airbags, but we are quite confident that MG will add 2 more airbags to meet the industry standards. The Punch EV base model also gets 6 airbags as standard.
There are 3 features, which are available in the Cloud EV and we may or may not get in the Windsor EV. Here’s the list:
- Power tailgate
- 4-way power front passenger seat
- ADAS
That last one, although looks like a single feature, but it’s actually a bundle of safety and convenience features. The Cloud EV gets the following ADAS features:
- Adaptive cruise control
- Lane keep assist
- Lane follow assist
- Forward collision warning
- Forward collision avoidance assist
- Lane departure warning
- Auto high beam
