On the outside, the updated LC500h doesn’t carry any perceptible changes over the model it replaces. It continues to offer sleek LED headlights with boomerang-shaped LED DRLs. Around the side, it offers a tapering roofline along with a new design for the 21-inch machined alloy wheels. At the rear, it offers 3D-effect LED tail lights with chrome inserts.

On the inside, the most notable change in the LC500h facelift is the new 12.3-inch toucshcreen infotainment sytsem. The new infotainment system replaces the older 10.3-inch non-touchscreen system. Since the new unit supports touch control, the LC500h does away with the touchpad to offer a more clutter-free centre console. The absence of the touchpad has also resulted in the rearrangement of a few controls on the dashboard and centre console.

In terms of powertrain, the new LC500h packs the same 3.5L naturally-aspirated V6 petrol engine mated to a hybrid system. It offers a combined power output of 354PS and 350Nm of torque at 5100rpm. The power is channeled to the rear wheels via a complex mixture of a 4-speed torque converter automatic and a continuously variable transmission (CVT).
