Mahindra XUV700 Facelift Spied Ahead Of 2026 Launch | V3Cars
The Mahindra XUV700 is gearing up for its first major update since its debut in 2021. Fresh spy shots suggest that Mahindra are readying a mid-lifecycle facelift for the SUV, which is expected to go on sale in early 2026. While the exterior updates appear minimal, the upcoming model could bring notable interior and tech upgrades, drawing inspiration from the Mahindra XEV 9e and the upcoming XEV 9s.
Mahindra XUV700 Facelift: Exterior Updates
The test mule seen on public roads wears heavy camouflage, concealing most of its updated styling details. However, a few design cues stand out:
- Revised front grille with a more prominent and aerodynamic pattern
- New headlamps design with twin LED projectors and fresh LED DRL signature
- Tweaked front and rear bumpers with sharper contours for a bolder look
- Updated alloy wheels with aero-inspired detailing
- Connected taillamp treatment at the rear

Based on the spy shots, we believe Mahindra are unlikely to alter the SUV’s sheet metal panels as the overall stance, bonnet and door structure appear identical to the current model.
Mahindra XUV700 Facelift: Interior And Feature Upgrades
The most significant upgrade is expected inside the cabin. The XUV700 facelift could adopt the new triple-screen layout seen in the XEV 9e and upcoming XEV 9s electric SUVs. This setup integrates the instrument cluster, infotainment system and a front passenger-side display into one sleek, curved housing.
Other expected updates include:
- Revised dashboard design with new materials and trim inserts
- Updated infotainment system with enhanced connected car features
- More touch-based controls instead of physical buttons
We expect the XUV700 facelift to continue offering 6- and 7-seater layouts as the current model. It could also gain new ambient lighting elements, new upholstery options, and an updated ADAS suite.
Expected Powertrain Specs
Under the bonnet, the XUV700 facelift is expected to retain its current petrol and diesel engine options:

Both engines will continue to be paired with either a 6-speed manual or 6-speed torque converter (TC) automatic transmission. The diesel-AT variant is expected to retain the optional all-wheel drive (AWD) setup as well.
Expected Launch & Pricing
The Mahindra XUV700 facelift is expected to debut in the first half of 2026. We expect the prices of the XUV700 to rise slightly over the current model, which retails from Rs. 13.66 lakh to Rs. 23.71 lakh (ex-showroom).
When launched, the XUV700 facelift will continue to rival the Tata Harrier and Safari, MG Hector and Hector Plus as well its stablemate, the Mahindra Scorpio N.
