Maruti Suzuki are set to launch the 2022 XL6 this month. The 2022 XL6 will boast new Nexa signature design elements that we first saw on the 2022 Baleno. The new XL6 will also come with a new automatic transmission. We expect the prices to go up by a good margin thanks to the design and mechanical changes.

In terms of cosmetic changes, the 2022 Maruti Nexa XL6 is likely to receive a new grille and updated bumpers. As Maruti Suzuki revealed at the launch event of the Baleno, the upcoming Nexa models will share a common design language. The headlights are likely to get tri-LED elements as seen on the Baleno. The same tri-LED pattern is likely to find a place in the taillights as well. The 2022 XL6 will also gain a new exterior paint option along with a new design for the 15-inch alloy wheels.

On the inside, the XL6 facelift is likely to receive new trim pieces to spruce up the in-cabin experience. We can expect different textures for the dashboard, new 9.0-inch touchscreen infotainment with telematics, and an updated instrument console. The 2022 XL6 will carry forward the 6-seater configuration with captain chairs for the middle row. However, we can expect Maruti Suzuki to launch the XL7, the 7-seater version of the XL6, in the Indian market soon.

As we stated earlier, the 2022 XL6 will get a new 6-speed torque converter automatic transmission to replace the ageing 4-speed torque converter unit. The new transmission will come coupled with the same 1.5L normal petrol engine. It is likely to produce the same 105PS of power and 138Nm of torque. The 5-speed manual, on the other hand, will continue to serve the range without any changes.

Maruti Suzuki will launch the XL6 facelift in late April. We expect Nexa dealerships to soon commence the bookings for the 2022 XL6 facelift. Meanwhile, Maruti could launch the Ertiga facelift in early April with the new automatic transmission and design updates. The 2022 XL6 will continue to rival the Kia Carens and Mahindra Marazzo.
