Maruti Suzuki S-Presso (New Small Car) Launched In India

Maruti Suzuki has launched the S-Presso small car in India, prices for which start from Rs 3.69 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). The S-Presso, which is also being termed as a micro SUV, is available with a 1.0-litre, BS6 petrol engine only. It is claimed to deliver 21.7kmpl of fuel efficiency (mileage per litre) with both manual transmission and AMT. The engine is available with both manual and automatic (AMT) transmission options.

As far as features are concerned, the S-Presso’s base variant includes goodies like driver side airbag, ABS with EBD, rear parking sensors and digital display in the instrument cluster. The base Std. variant can be had with the passenger-side airbag as well in the Std.(O) variant. Other than the passenger side airbag, the optional variant also includes seatbelt pretensioners and driver and co-driver sunvisor. The base variant misses out on some important and basic features like AC, power steering and manually adjustable ORVMs.


S-Presso Interior


The top variant, on the other hand, includes key features like keyless entry, front power windows, SmartPlay Studio infotainment system with a 7-inch touchscreen unit, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, steering-mounted audio controls and full wheel covers. Some of the important missing features in this variant are rear power windows, rear parking camera and electrically-adjustable ORVMs.
