The top selling luxury auto brand in India, Mercedes-Benz has recently announced that the company will be launching the AMG E63 S 4MATIC+ sedan in the Indian car market on 4th of May, 2018. The German auto major had first unveiled the new version at the 2016 Los Angeles Motor Show. The Mercedes-AMG E63 S 4Matic+ is the most powerful version of the E-Class and it will be a dream car for the performance luxury car buffs in India.
When visual appeal is concerned, the Mercedes-AMG E63 S 4MATIC+ has the same design language of E-Class sedan and retains the same character lines and elegant appeal. However, it looks bolder with some added styling elements to it apart as the performance oriented version of the luxury sedan. The AMG E63 S flaunts a new single slat front grille, a newly styled front bumper which houses a bit larger air intakes as well as a sporty exhaust setup at the rear of the car. The car’s wheel arches are bit wider than that of the standard model. The profile flaunts a set of classy matte-black AMG 20-inch alloy wheels as well.
However, the exterior changes are certainly not the most interested things about the AMG E-Class. The real deal lies under the hood. The Mercedes-AMG E63 S 4MATIC+ gets powered by a 4.0 litre turbocharged V8 engine that comes with twin-scroll technology in order to enhance the performance and decrease turbo lag. The AMG E63 S offers 603 bhp of peak power along with 850 Nm of top torque. The engine gets paired with a 9 speed AMG Speedshift dual-clutch transmission gearbox along with the advantage of Mercedes-Benz’s 4Matic all-4-wheel drive system. The powertrain makes the AMG E63 S sprint from a 0 to 100 kmph in only 3.3 seconds.
The Mercedes-AMG E63 S 4MATIC+ also comes with another great feature to impress all the driving enthusiasts - the new Drift Mode. The new Drift Mode is being offered as part of the standard package on the E63 S. The AMG E63 S 4Matic+ comes with the all wheel drive system that utilizes fully variable torque distribution at both the front and rear axles to offer you that additional punchy power whenever you are longing to get a fun drive experience. Simply by selecting the 'Race' drive mode, switching off the stability control, and activating the transmission's manual mode, you can get that racy amazing drive experience. According to Mercedes-Benz, the Drift Mode turns the vehicle into a fully rear wheel drive one, which stays that way until the Drift Mode has been turned off.
Mercedes-Benz has not revealed the AMG E63 S 4MATIC+ pricing for India, which will be announced at the time of its India launch. However, the estimated pricing of the AMG E63 S is surely going to be north of Rs. 1 crore mark. Other details will be out at the time of the car’s official India launch.
