Mercedes-Benz India have officially launched their highly anticipated flagship performance coupes, the Mercedes-AMG GT 63 4Matic+ and the even more powerful AMG GT 63 Pro 4Matic+, in the Indian market. These launches mark the return of the brand’s performance coupe equipped with a petrol V8 engine, cutting-edge technology, and luxurious features to the Indian car market.

Mercedes-AMG GT 63 And T 63 Pro Launched In India At Rs. 3 Crore

The new AMG GT models will serve as Mercedes-AMG’s flagship offerings in India, expanding the brand’s performance-focused lineup to 9 models.

2025 Mercedes-AMG GT 63 And GT 63 Pro: Performance Figures

Both the AMG GT 63 and GT 63 Pro are powered by Mercedes-Benz’s 4L twin-turbo V8 engine. This potent engine sends power to all 4 wheels through Mercedes-Benz’s 4Matic+ all-wheel-drive system and is paired with a 9-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission.

  • AMG GT 63: This variant’s V8 engine produces a robust 585PS of power and 800 Nm of torque. It can accelerate from 0-100kmph in a claimed 3.2 seconds and boasts a top speed of 315kmph.
  • AMG GT 63 Pro: As the more hardcore version, the GT 63 Pro sees its engine output bumped up to an impressive 612PS and 850Nm of torque. While it matches the 0-100kmph time of 3.2 seconds, it achieves a slightly higher top speed of 317kmph.

2025 Mercedes-AMG GT 63 And GT 63 Pro: Design and Dimensions

The 2nd generation AMG GT models offer a sleek and aerodynamic design combined with luxurious touches. They feature a bold front grille, sharp LED headlights, and sculpted bodywork, all reflecting Mercedes-AMG’s signature aesthetic.

Compared to its predecessor, the new AMG GT has grown significantly in size. It is longer, wider, and taller, with an extended wheelbase. These larger dimensions translate into a roomier cabin, which is a key change. The new AMG GT now offers a more practical 2+2 seating layout instead of being a strict 2-seater, making it more versatile for passengers or occasional use.

The AMG GT 63 Pro distinguishes itself with an even sportier look and improved aerodynamics. It comes with a revised front bumper, front splitter, side sill trim, a rear diffuser, and a carbon-fibre rear wing. These bodywork enhancements are designed to reduce front lift and increase downforce at the rear, making the Pro variant even more capable at high speeds.

2025 Mercedes-AMG GT 63 And GT 63 Pro: Interior And Features

Inside, both AMG GT variants offer a driver-focused cockpit with a blend of performance-oriented elements and high-end luxury. The cabin features sport seats with integrated headrests and a performance-oriented steering wheel.

Technology takes center stage with the latest MBUX infotainment system, which includes an 12-inch portrait-style central touchscreen and a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster. The premium feel is further enhanced by Nappa leather upholstery, ambient lighting, dual-zone climate control, a wireless phone charger, and an optional Burmester surround sound system.

Expected Price, Rivals And Delivery Timeline

The 2025 Mercedes-AMG GT 63 and GT 63 Pro are priced at Rs. 3 crore and Rs. 3.65 crore (ex-showroom), respectively. Deliveries of the GT 63 variant will begin in December 2025 while the GT 63 Pro will start reaching customers in January 2026.

In the Indian market, the new AMG GT models compete with high-performance rivals such as the Porsche 911 Turbo and the Aston Martin Vantage. This launch is part of Mercedes-Benz India’s broader plan to introduce 8 new models in 2025.
