Mercedes-Benz S-Class Maestro Edition Launched
With the next-gen S-Class already on sale globally and on its way to India, Mercedes-Benz has opted to bid the outgoing S-Class a special farewell. The carmaker has launched a new Maestro Edition of its flagship sedan. Priced at Rs 1.51 crore (ex-showroom India), it attracts a premium of around Rs 13 lakh over the standard S-Class S 350d.
For the incremental price, the Maestro Edition gets a 2-piece panoramic sunroof with Magic Sky Control. It allows the occupants to alter the opacity of front and rear segments of roof independently of each other through a switch on the overhead panel.
It also gets a memory package for front seats, which memorises the position of electrically adjustable seats in three positions along with positions for the steering column and electrically adjustable ORVMs.
It also gets the latest edition of Mercedes me connect system that allows real-time location tracking, speed alerts and remote operations for various car functions like lock/unlock and more. The latest edition of Me connect also brings Alexa and Google Home integration on board. This allows the customers to get information about the car on their mobile device or on the Alexa/Google device.
The Mercedes me connect system can also detect off-street structured parking locations that are visible in the navigation system with the option to choose from covered and non-covered parking spaces. Customers can also select a parking lot on the Mercedes me app and can push the location to the vehicle.
Besides these, there’s also a new Anthracite Blue exterior colour and an option of ‘Nut brown’ interior with Diamond White exterior paint scheme.
Under the hood, the S-Class Maestro Edition gets the same engine as the S 350d. It is powered by a six-cylinder diesel engine that makes 286PS and 600Nm, and is paired to a 9-speed automatic transmission.
