MG Motor is launching the MG eZS electric SUV on December 5. This new electric SUV will compete with the Hyundai Kona electric in terms of price, performance and driving range.
MG Motor, the British carmaker, has had a successful start in India so far. The carmaker generated far greater demand than anticipated for the Hector SUV. MG delivered 3,536 units of the mid-size SUV in the month of October 2019. MG had also reopened bookings for the SUV just ahead of the festive season. MG Hector already has over 38,000 bookings. The company is ramping up production of the Hector so the waiting times will come down gradually.
Just like the MG Hector, we’re hoping that the eZS electric SUV will also come with an attractive price tag. Currently, there’s only the Hyundai Kona electric SUV to compete with, which costs Rs. 23.86 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi).
After the launch of the eZS electric SUV, the carmaker will also launch the ZS with petrol engines. It’ll get a 1.5-litre normal petrol engine and a 1.0-litre hybrid petrol engine option.
