Mini India have launched the new Cooper S Convertible in India at an ex-showroom price of Rs. 58.50 lakh. Offered as CBU (Completely Built Unit), the open top Mini can now be booked at authorised Mini dealerships across the country, with deliveries starting immediately.
Positioned as India’s most accessible luxury convertible, the new Mini Cooper S Convertible blends classic design cues, modern technology and strong performance in a compact, lifestyle-focussed package.
Mini Cooper S Convertible Design Highlights
The new-generation Mini Cooper S Convertible sticks closely to the brand’s instantly recognisable design language. Key highlights include:
- Round LED headlamps with selectable light signatures
- Newly styled front grille
- Short overhangs and compact proportions
- LED tail lamps with a flush finish
- 18-inch alloy wheels
MINI are offering the Convertible in 4 exterior colours:
- British Racing Green
- Chili Red
- Sunny Side Yellow
- Ocean Wave Green
Mirror caps can be specified in black or white, while Sports Seats are standard across the range.
The black fabric soft-top is the centrepiece of the Mini Cooper S Convertible experience. It can open fully in 18 seconds, closes in 15 seconds and can be operated at speeds up to 30kmph. It can also function as a sunroof, opening partially up to 40cm. Boot capacity stands at 160 litres with roof open and 215 litres with roof closed.
Mini Cooper S Convertible Interiors And Features
Inside, the Mini Cooper Convertible adopts a clean and modern layout inspired by classic Mini design. The main highlight is the round OLED touchscreen, which doubles up as both the instrument cluster and infotainment display.

- MINI Digital Key Plus (smartphone-based key)
A toggle-style control bar houses essential functions such as drive selector, start/stop, parking brake and drive modes. While the screen-heavy setup looks futuristic, Mini have retained physical toggles for core controls — something enthusiasts and daily users will appreciate.
Mini Cooper S Convertible Performance And Safety
The Mini Convertible S is powered by a 2.0L turbo-petrol engine that produces 204PS of power and 300Nm of torque. It is coupled with a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission, enabling it to sprint from 0-100kmph in 6.9 seconds before hitting a top speed of 240kmph.
