    New 2017 Jeep Compass ready to hit the production in India

The Jeep Compass has been also endowed with signature premium Jeep styling, marvelous on-road driving dynamics, an array of advanced and innovative safety equipments and cutting-edge technology.

    The new Jeep Compass is a true global compact SUV and is all prepared to hit the production line in India soon. The 2017 new generation Jeep Compass will be manufactured in India, Brazil, Mexico and China and will be made available for sale in over 100 countries across the world.

    The new-gen Jeep Compass will be launched in India by mid-2017 and will be offered in three model trims. The 2017 Compass will be manufactured in Ranjangaon in India and the India made Compass will be made for the domestic car market as well as all right-hand-drive car markets around the globe. Thus, although the India made Jeep Compass will have different specs and powertrains than those manufactured in other countries, will remain a truly global SUV and will offer top-notch quality and sturdy build and all the patent qualities associated with the Jeep brand.

    The new generation Jeep Compass recently made its North America debut at the 2016 LA Auto Show and is being referred to as the baby-Grand Cherokee. This is because the design cues that the model draws from the Grand Cherokee. However, the patent seven-slated radiator grille and the trapezoidal wheel arches of the Jeep brand are common in all the Jeep products, no matter how different they otherwise look.  Compass gets a sleeker front facade and its overall design is sophisticated rather than rugged. The compact SUV measures 4.4 mm in length which makes it larger than the Jeep Renegade, and has an impressive ground clearance of 221 mm.

    The new-gen Compass gets a cabin that’s also similar to the Grand Cherokee's. It offers good amount of user friendly technology as well as connectivity options. The SUV’s 7-inch information display offers all necessary car information, while supporting Apple CarPlay/Android Auto. There’s cap-less fuel system, electrically operated tailgate, keyless entry, glass sunroof and a good 438-liter boot space which can be expanded to up to 1251 liters by folding down the rear seats.

    The new Compass will have a long list of safety and security features which will include lane-keep assist, airbags, adaptive cruise control and whole lot more. The vehicle gets a rotary dial that offers Selec-Terrain for different Drive Modes for varying driving conditions. There are Auto mode, Snow mode, Sand mode, Mud Mode. The SUV will have 17 various powertrain combinations for various markets around the globe. The engine range includes the 1.4L multi air turbocharged unit, 1.6L and 2.0L turbocharged diesel unit, 2.4L tigershark petrol unit and the 2.0L tigershark flex fuel or ethanol unit. Transmission range includes a 6 speed manual, 6 speed automatic, a 7 speed dual clutch and a 9 speed automatic units.
