Honda is set to launch the fifth-generation City in India on 15 July 2020. Ahead of the car’s launch, a document with details of the car’s variants and features has been leaked online. It suggests that the new City will be available in three variants -- V, VX and ZX.
The features of the V variant, as per the leaked document, are as follows:

The V variant should be available with a host of safety tech apart from all the basic and mandatory safety features, like high speed alert, stability control, side airbags, parking camera and hill start assist. Halogen projector headlamps are also expected to be standard.
Like the current City, the new model should also be equipped with alloy wheels in all variants. An 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system also appears to be standard. Whether it will get Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity is not clear.
The base variant is expected to be available with some good-to-have features like tilt and telescopic steering, auto AC with rear AC vents, keyless entry and boot open and electrically adjustable and foldable ORVMs. It remains to be seen whether important features like day/night IRVM, front & rear armrests and height-adjustable driver seat will also be available or not. It is worth noting that none of the variants of the City will get adjustable rear headrests.

Honda has probably saved features like LED headlamps and auto-folding ORVMs for the top-spec City ZX as suggested by the leaked brochure. The top variant might also get features like LED fog lamps, dual-function DRLs that also function like turn indicators and leather upholstery.
From the brochure, we can understand that the CVT-type automatic transmission will be available in V variant, and we assume that Honda will offer it on all the variants. It remains to be seen whether the manual transmission will be on offer on all the three variants or not.
The 2020 City will be powered by a 1.5-litre petrol engine and a 1.5-litre diesel engine. Only the petrol engine will be available with the option of CVT. The existing City will continue to remain on sale with the new generation, which will rival the likes of the Maruti Suzuki Ciaz, Hyundai Verna, Toyota Yaris, Skoda Rapid and Volkswagen Vento in the C-segment.
