Renault Cars at Auto Expo 2020 – Renault Showcased 6 Cars at Auto Expo

by Mahesh Yadav on Thursday, Feb 06 2020

Renault did showcase an out-of-this-world concept, which probably won't make it to production the next decade or so. But the carmaker didn't disappoint with its range of affordable cars at the Auto Expo 2020.

The BS6 Triber range currently is priced between Rs. 4.99 lakh and Rs. 6.78 lakh. The AMT automatic variants could cost Rs. 50,000 more than the comparable variants. It'll go on sale by June 2020.

Renault also showcased the Kwid range. The BS6 Kwid is priced between Rs. 2.92 lakh and Rs. 5.01 lakh.

The K-ZE (Kwid electric) is available in China for Rs. 6.4 to Rs. 7.4 lakh. The Kwid Electric has a range of about 270km on a full charge. Renault has confirmed that they'll launch an affordable electric car by the end of 2021. We believe it's the Kwid electric that will land on the showroom floor for a starting price of about Rs. 6.5 lakh.

Renault also showcased the Twizy, single-seater electric car. This car is meant to be the last-mile connectivity but its unconventional styling will find fewer fans in India. It has a range of 90km on a full charge. This car is priced between Rs. 6.5 and 9.0 lakh in the UK.

Renault ZOE is another compact electric car that was present at the Auto Expo 2020. Given its high cost of about Rs. 27.3 - 30.0 lakh in the UK, it seems like it may have a hard time competing with the Hyundai Kona and the likes. Although, it has a range of 380km as per European test cycle. This car is not expected to launch in India in the foreseeable future.
