Tata Motors Introduce Lifetime Battery Warranty For Curvv EV & Nexon EV 45kWh | V3Cars
Tata Motors have announced a new initiative to further accelerate EV adoption in the country. The company has introduced a lifetime HV (high–voltage) battery warranty for the Curvv EV and the Nexon EV 45 kWh. This move aims to address one of the biggest concerns for potential EV buyers – long-term battery health and replacement costs.

Curvv EV, Nexon EV 45kWh Lifetime Battery Warranty In Detail
The lifetime HV battery warranty, which covers unlimited kilometres, was first rolled out with the recently launched Harrier EV and received widespread appreciation from consumers. Encouraged by this positive response, Tata Motors have now extended this comprehensive offering to both existing and new first-time customers of the Curvv EV and Nexon EV 45kWh.
Mr. Vivek Srivatsa, Chief Commercial Officer, Tata Passenger Electric Mobility Ltd., emphasised the customer benefit:
“By democratizing premium EV technology, we have played a significant role in advancing India’s EV category’s exponential growth. One of the key factors behind this growth is the ability to instill confidence amongst customers for a worry-free ownership experience. Today, we are proud to extend this feeling even further with the introduction of the Lifetime HV Battery Warranty solution for all customers of the Curvv.ev and Nexon.ev 45 kWh. By offering this unprecedented assurance, we are enabling a truly carefree, future-ready ownership journey for every TATA.ev buyer.”
This warranty is applicable to all private individual customers who are registered as the first owners of either the Curvv EV or the Nexon EV 45kWh. This initiative is set to significantly boost the long-term resale value for EVs and complements the substantial savings in running costs, estimated at Rs. 8-9 lakh over a 10-year period, creating a compelling ownership proposition.
Applicable Variants And Pricing
It’s important to note the specific variants covered by this warranty:
- Nexon EV: The Lifetime HV Battery Warranty applies to the 45kWh battery pack variants only. The Nexon EV 45kWh variants are currently priced between Rs 14 lakh and Rs 17.19 lakh (ex-showroom).
- Curvv EV: The warranty covers the entire Curvv EV range, including both 45kWh and 55kWh battery pack options. The Curvv EV is available in the price bracket of Rs 17.49 lakh to Rs 21.99 lakh (ex-showroom).
- Harrier EV: The flagship Harrier EV, which first introduced this warranty, is priced between Rs 21.49 lakh and Rs 30.23 lakh (ex-showroom).
Loyalty Program For Existing Tata EV Customers
In a move to reward its loyal customer base, Tata Motors are also providing a direct benefit of Rs. 50,000 to existing Tata EV owners who purchase either the Curvv EV or the Nexon EV 45kWh. This loyalty program further sweetens the deal for those looking to upgrade or add another Tata EV to their garage.
