Skoda Kodiaq Facelift India Launching On January 10, 2022 | V3Cars

While the India-exclusive Slavia is still some time away, Skoda are all set to launch the Kodiaq facelift on January 10. Rumours suggest that unofficial bookings are now open and the deliveries will start January 14 onwards. Skoda India will locally assemble the Kodiaq facelift to keep the pricing aggressive.

Skoda Kodiaq Facelift

Skoda revealed the Kodiaq facelift in the global markets last year. It came with refreshed styling and updated interiors. Talking about the changes, the Kodiaq facelift features a wide grille with chrome garnishing, sleeker LED headlights, repositioned fog lamps, and refreshed bumpers. The side profile doesn’t have a lot of changes whereas the rear gets spread-out Skoda lettering on the boot.

On the inside, you get the new twin-spoke steering unit, larger touchscreen infotainment with personal voice assistant, ventilated seats with massaging function, panoramic sunroof, triple-zone climate control, ambient lighting, and more. In addition to that, the Kodiaq facelift also gets new decorative trims, door cards, and upholstery.

On the powertrain front, the Kodiaq will come with a sole 2.0L turbo petrol engine. It will churn out 190PS and 320Nm of torque. It will come coupled with a dual-clutch automatic gearbox and four-wheel-drive system. Before the BS6 era, the Kodiaq used to come with a sole diesel engine that Skoda have now taken off the shelves. We expect Skoda to price the new Kodiaq aggressively, thanks to the local assembly. It will compete with SUVs like the Toyota Fortuner, MG Gloster, upcoming Jeep Meridian and Volkswagen Tiguan Allspace facelift.
