Skoda have teased the 2026 Slavia facelift ahead of its August 18 launch. The updated sedan will receive a series of styling and feature revisions as part of its mid-life update, while the 1L turbo petrol engine is also expected to get a new 8-speed automatic transmission.

The facelift is likely to be the final significant update for the 1st-generation Slavia before Skoda introduces an all-new sedan with newer underpinnings and a broader technology package.
The official teaser confirms that Skoda are preparing an updated version of the Slavia, although the company have not yet revealed the complete car.
Earlier test mules had already pointed towards changes to the front and rear sections. The facelift is expected to retain the existing Slavia’s basic silhouette while introducing revised styling elements to keep the sedan fresh against newer rivals.
The update is likely to follow the approach taken with the Kushaq facelift, with evolutionary exterior changes rather than a completely redesigned body.
Based on earlier test mule sightings, the Slavia facelift is expected to get revisions at both ends,. The changes could include a redesigned front grille with connected LED DRLs and updated bumpers. The rear of the Slavia facelift could receive refreshed bumpers and new tail lamp lighting signatures. The facelift could also receive new alloy wheel designs and other minor exterior detailing. However, the overall profile will remain the same
The cabin is expected to receive a more substantial technology update than the exterior.
The facelift is expected to get a larger 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system, which made its debut in the Kushaq facelift. However, the 10.1-inch digital driver’s display could remain the same as the current model. One of the more unusual additions expected on the updated sedan is a rear-seat massager, which would add a new comfort feature to the Slavia.
A 360-degree camera and ADAS are not expected on the facelift. These features are likely to be introduced with the next-generation Slavia instead.
The Slavia facelift is expected to continue with its existing 1L and 1.5L turbo petrol engines, but the smaller engine could receive a significant gearbox upgrade.
The following table lists the expected powertrain specifications:
The Slavia 1L turbo petrol variants currently produce 116PS of power and 178Nm of peak torque. Its existing 6-speed automatic transmission is expected to be replaced by a new 8-speed automatic.
The larger 1.5L TSI produces 150PS and 250Nm and is expected to continue with the same 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission as the current model.
Currently, the 2026 Slavia is priced from Rs. 10 lakh to Rs. 18.19 lakh (ex-showroom). The Slavia facelift is expected to command a slight premium over the outgoing model because of its additional features and updates. Skoda are expected to announce the variant-wise prices on August 18.
The updated sedan will continue to compete with the Volkswagen Virtus, Hyundai Verna and Honda City. The facelift is also expected to extend the life of the first-generation Slavia before the next-generation model arrives. The new-generation sedan is expected to bring newer underpinnings, a more extensive feature list and potentially Level 2 ADAS and multiple powertrain options.
