Tata Curvv SUV Spied – Reveals Coupe Styling

The new Curvv EV spy shots suggest the upcoming electric SUV will indeed be an SUV coupe and share similarities with the Curvv ICE concept that was showcased at the Auto Expo 2023. Up front, the Curvv EV is expected to feature a similar face as the updated Nexon and Nexon EV. We expect the production-spec electric SUV to feature vertical LED DRLs, LED projector headlamps and LED fog lamps mounted lower down on the bumper and a muscular bonnet.

Around the side, the Curvv EV’s coupe-esque design is evident thanks to the sloping roofline. While the test mule was covered in heavy camouflage, we could expect a a design similar to that of the new Nexon 2023 with crisp character lines. The rear of the Curvv EV test mule seems to feature a connected LED tail lamp setup. The rear windscreen is steeply raked thanks to the sloping roofline and the test mule even features a shark-fin antenna on the roof.

While the interior of the CurVV EV is not visible in the latest spy shots, we expect it to offer a similar design and features as Tata’s latest SUVs. Expect features like the steering wheel with the illuminated Tata logo, touch-based HVAC controls, electric sunroof, the 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system, and the digital instrument cluster, among others.

Tata Curvv EV Powertrain Specs

The Tata Curvv EV is expected to launch ahad of the Tata Curvv turbo petrol and diesel. The production-spec Curvv EV is expected to feature the same electric powertrain as the Nexon EV long range. The Nexon EV long range is powered by a 40.5kWh battery pack and it produces 145PS of power, 215Nm of torque and an ARAI-certified range of 465km per charge. However, unlike the Nexon EV, the production-spec Curvv will be based on a new platform, which could enable Tata to offer a range of over 500km per charge.

The Tata Curvv ICE derivatives on the other hand are expected to feature Tata’s new 1.5L turbo petrol engine as well as the 1.5L turbo diesel engine from the Nexon.
