Few years ago Maruti Suzuki launched Celerio and it bears a sophisticated design, and Tiago too has a fantastic style statement. For people who have invested their money on both cars, will surely be confused about which one to pick. Let us compare the two cars and come to a conclusion.

    Exterior:

Tiago is among the most fantastic new hatchback launches; it is so awesome that the public calls it Fantastico! The car is engineered with a cutting-edge Impact Design Philosophy and it looks refreshing and modern. It is the widest car in the hatchback segment, measuring 1647mm, and the styling on the front is just awesome. The professionally styled swept back headlights are linked to a curved strip of chrome and Tata Motors calls this arrangement ‘Humanity Line’. The styling of fog lights is trendy and it is fitted into air dams. Also notice the creases on bumper and bonnet and this builds the sophistication value of the car. The wrap around tail lights look great too.

Maruti Suzuki Celerio is termed to be India’s most loved hatchback, and it is engineered with Curve in Curve Out design theme. The width dimension of the car is 1600mm, and this is an incredibly sophisticated hatchback, packed with creases and curves. The droopy headlights look great and it is connected to a large chrome grille, and notice the creases on the bonnet. The premium value of the car is highlighted by the neat strip of line that runs along the side, wrap around tail light, black B pillar and trendy fourteen inch wheels.

    Interior:

The interior décor of Tiago is similar to Bolt and Zest, and here there is ample cabin space. The black and grey décor looks splendid and the quality of equipment is first-class. The dashboard looks fantastic and so does the black piano covering on center console. The most loaded XZ variant has stunning Connect Next infotainment unit with four speakers and four tweeters. The height adjustable seats and adjustable headrests are sold as an optional feature in the XE variant. The other convenient features to watch out for internally adjustable wing mirrors, tinted glasses, foldable rear seat and driver footrest.

Step inside the Celerio and it is just mind-blowing, the dual tone black and beige décor is great and the shiny silver layering on console looks classy. All doors have power windows, and this feature is not present on the LDi and LXi variants. There is an innovative 1-Din music system with Aux-in, Bluetooth and USB connectivity and the most loaded ZDi car has audio fitted steering and height adjustable seat and there is a wipe function and rear wash.

    Price:

Tata Tiago is sold for a price of Rs 3.2 to 5.4 lakhs and Celerio is offered at Rs 4.2 to 6.1 lakh.

    Verdict:

The style statement of Tiago and Celerio is spectacular, and the interior of both cars look vibrant. Tiago offers better comfort for the price offered and hence it is a better car to go after.
