The Tesla Model Y has officially launched in India, marking the global EV giant’s entry into the Indian automotive market. Prices for the all-electric Model Y range from Rs 59.89 lakh to Rs. 67.89 lakh (ex-showroom).
Bookings for the 2025 Model Y are currently open for a token amount of Rs. 22,220. Once the booking is confirmed, buyers have to pay a Rs. 3 lakh payment within 7 days to secure the order. Deliveries of the Standard RWD variants are expected to begin by the end of September while the Long Range RWD variants will start arriving by the fourth quarter of 2025.

2025 Tesla Model Y Variant-Wise Colour Options And Cost
The newly-launched Model Y is available in a total of 6 colours. However, except for the Stealth Grey colour, all other colours command a premium:
Both Tesla Model Y variants come with an all-black cabin as standard. However, buyers can opt for a dual-tone black and white interior for an additional cost of Rs. 95,000.
2025 Tesla Model Y Optional Extra: Self-Driving Capability
The standout feature of all Teslas – self-driving capabilities – is not offered as standard on the India-spec Model Y. However, buyers can opt for this feature by paying a significant premium of Rs. 6 lakh.
Tesla have stated that ticking the full self-driving (FSD) capability box does not make the India-spec Model Y an autonomous vehicle. Tesla plan to enable the autonomous features after achieving regulatory approval through future over-the-air updates. For now, the FSD requires active driver supervision.

- Power-reclining 2nd-row seats

- Electronic stability control (ESC)
- Front and rear parking sensors

2025 Tesla Model Y Warranty
Tesla are providing a comprehensive 4-year or 80,000 km warranty (whichever comes first) on the entire vehicle. The battery and drive unit come with an extended 8-year or 1,60,000 km warranty (whichever comes first).
