    Toyota Vios Sedan Caught During Test

    Toyota Vios sedan was sighted testing in India; a few months ago there was news of the vehicle being imported for R and D purposes. This classy mid-size sedan is expected to arrive in the country sometime in mid-2017 and it is positioned between Toyota Etios and Corolla Altis. The popular models in this category are Maruti Suzuki Ciaz, Hyundai Verna, Honda City and Volkswagen Vento and these are the fierce contenders of Toyota Vios.

    The captured Vios sedan did not bear any disguise, but there was one feature that could not be traced, it is the Toyota logo. How does the new Vios look? It looks more exquisite than Etios and there are certain designs that are inspired from new Camry. The other engine is a 1.4-liter D-4D diesel mill and it generates 205Nm torque and 87bhp power. The transmission options on offer are five-speed manual gearbox and optional automatic transmission unit.

    Safety and price:

    Vios will arrive with impressive safety features to offer top-notch occupant protection, the car has engine immobilizer and parking sensors, electronic brake-force distribution, all variants have anti-lock braking system and dual front airbags. The expected price range of Vios is Rs 7 to 10 lakhs (ex-showroom price).
