Renault’s current product portfolio for India comprises of only three car models, namely the Kwid entry-level hatchback, the Duster compact SUV and the Lodgy MPV. These vehicles will soon be joined by the Captur premium compact SUV, expanding the French company’s lineup to four products.

The French car maker is now set to expand the lineup in India with the introduction of new products every year. Renault India’s MD Sumit Sawhney has confirmed to the media that Renault would be launching new models every year in order to grab more market shares in India.

Take a look at the new Renault vehicle models that are scheduled to launch in India:

    Renault Captur

Renault India has recently unveiled the Captur compact SUV. The Renault Captur is a premium compact SUV with crossover DNA that upon launch will be rivaling the likes of Hyundai Creta and Mahindra in India. The Renault Captur looks very up-class and contemporary and shares its platform and engines with the Duster.

The crossover/SUV will offer an array of premium features including a 7 inch touchscreen infotainment system with radio and Bluetooth technology, voice recognition and maps. There will also be smart access, pushbutton engine start/stop, etc. Safety features include dual front airbags, ABS with EBD, ESC, Hill Start Assist, Brake Assist and more.

The Renault Captur is expected to launch in October, 2017 with expected price range of Rs. 10 - 15 lakhs.

    Renault RBC MPV

Next in line is a 7-seater MPV that is still codenamed as RBC. This MPV will be a potent competitor of the popular Maruti Ertiga and the likes in India.

Renault’s existing MPV, Lodgy has not been very successful in India, thus, the RBC will come to fight it better in the Indian MPV market. It is also likely to have a crossover DNA to cater to the popular choice of Indian car buyers. It will also have a SUV-ish appeal with bold styling and flared wheel arches. It will be based on the low-cost CMF-A platform and will be placed below the Duster with a competitive pricing.

The Renault RBC MPV is likely to launch sometime in 2018 with an expected price range of Rs. 8 to 11 lakhs.

    Renault Duster Facelift

The updated Renault Duster (known as Dacia Duster in some global markets) has been recently unveiled internationally. The updated Duster looks fresh, but retains the basic design language. It is expected to be more spacious with updated interiors. It has a more upright windshield to offer a roomier cabin. The revised Duster is also likely to come in both front-wheel drive and AWD layouts.

The Duster facelift is also expected to offer many new features including a 7 inch touchscreen infotainment system.

The new Renault Duster facelift is expected to launch in late 2018 and is expected to have a price range of around Rs. 9 - 13 lakhs.

All the above mentioned upcoming models from Renault in India will be getting quipped by the 1.5L petrol and turbo diesel engine options, and will be based on the CMF-A platform.
