Volvo XC90 Excellence Lounge Launched In India
Under the hood, the XC90 Excellence Lounge comes with a plug-in hybrid powertrain which comes with three driving modes, namely - Pure, Hybrid and Power. The 2.0 litre 4-cylinder petrol engine of the powertrain is paired with a 65kW electric motor and together they offer a max power output of 408PS along with 640Nm of peak torque.
As far as its electric range is concerned, the XC90 Excellence Lounge can run on only electric mode for up to 40km on a fully charged battery. After the 40 km mark, the vehicle automatically switches into hybrid mode.
In terms of comfort, the Volvo XC90 Excellence Lounge’s cabin comes with extensive sound insulation to offer a quiet and private experience. The vehicle comes with no front passenger seat, and thus offers the owner the luxury of stretching legs and indulge in a lounge experience from the middle seat. The seats get premium Nappa leather upholstery and offer ventilation and advanced massage functions. To further enhance the luxury quotient, the vehicle offers features like folding leather-clad tray tables, crystal glasses with holder, refrigerator, Linear Walnut Decor and a foldable integrated 13 inch iPad along with Bowers and Wilkins headset.

While the XC90 range starts from Rs 80.9 lakh, the Excellence version, on which the Excellence Lounge is based, costs Rs 1.31 crores. The XC90 Excellence Lounge is more expensive than the Excellence version by Rs 10.76 lakh (all prices ex-showroom).
