Volvo India have launched the 2025 Volvo XC90 facelift in India at a price of Rs. 1.03 crore. Volvo’s updated flagship SUV, which debuted globally in 2024, gets a refreshed design, enhanced technology, and improved comfort, while retaining its core platform and powertrain options.

The 2025 XC90's updated exterior reflects design cues from the all-electric Volvo EX90 and the brand’s latest global models. Notable changes include a redesigned grille featuring diagonal slats, vertical bumper air vents, refreshed “Thor’s Hammer” LED headlights, and new alloy wheel designs. Subtle revisions at the rear include updated LED taillights and a redesigned bumper accented by a chrome strip.

Inside, the XC90 facelift retains its established layout while adopting design elements from the EX90. A key upgrade is the larger 11.2-inch touchscreen, replacing the previous 9-inch unit. This new system utilises a Google-based operating system, supporting over-the-air (OTA) updates, mirroring the EX90. Volvo have also prioritised the use of recycled materials and enhanced ride comfort.

The XC90 facelift continues with Volvo’i 2.0L turbo-petrol engine featuring mild-hybrid technology. It generates 250PS of power and 360Nm of torque and comes paired with an 8-speed automatic transmission and all-wheel drive.
There is also the possibility of a plug-in hybrid (PHEV) variant being introduced at a later stage, although Volvo are yet to confirm this. Globally, the PHEV option offers significantly more power and torque.

The 2025 XC90 is available in 6 colours:

The XC90 B5 Ultra is priced at Rs. 1,03 crore (ex-showroom). The XC90 facelift continues to compete with other luxury SUVs in its segment, such as the BMW X5, Mercedes-Benz GLE, and Audi Q7.
