Honda Jazz Diesel Variant Engine Specs
This Honda’s 1.5-litre diesel engine is very fuel-efficient and Honda claims that it delivers 27.3kmpl. However, it is a little noisy compared to the competitors’ diesel engines, and also not high-revving. In fact, this diesel engine makes its power at just 3600rpm, which is the lowest as compared to the diesel engines from all its competitors.
So, it may not be very fun to drive, but it’s very easy to drive in city traffic, as you don’t have to rev it to make quick progress in the traffic.

Honda Jazz Diesel Variant Dimensions Comparison
In terms of dimensions, it’s not as long as the Maruti Suzuki Baleno or the Hyundai Elite i20. However, it has a respectable wheelbase of 2530mm, and it offers adequate space inside just like its competitors. Despite a shorter length, the Honda Jazz diesel offers a healthy 354 litres of boot space, which is larger than the Maruti Baleno’s and much bigger than the i20’s. At 165mm, its ground clearance isn’t too bad, but it’s the lowest in the segment.

For another Rs. 44,000, the VX variant will give you touchscreen infotainment system with Android Auto and Apple Carplay and power-folding outside mirrors with turn indicators among other features. Best Honda Jazz Diesel Variant - V
The Jazz diesel V variant offers the best value for money, as it covers most of the must-have and a few nice-to-have features. The lower, S variant is a good buy for the price, while the VX variant is just a tad bit too expensive for what it offers.
While talking about the Jazz diesel, the elephant in the room is the cost difference between the Jazz’ petrol and diesel variants. The diesel variants are about Rs. 1.5 lakh more expensive than the petrol variants. Although the 1.5-litre diesel engine is much torquier and fuel-efficient, you’re going to have to drive the hell out of it to recover that extra cost you pay upfront.
