Indian auto major Tata Motors has launched the Tiago hatchback and Tigor sedan with a fully digital instrument cluster. It was being speculated that the fully digital instrument cluster will be introduced in the hatch and sedan twins in their mid-life facelift models. However, Tata Motors appears to be sprucing up almost all its offerings to get through the rough period and stay relevant in the face of tough competition.
As was expected earlier, the fully digital instrument cluster, now available on the top variant of the Tata Tiago and the Tata Tigor, is a monochrome unit. The unit includes a tachometer on the left, the fuel gauge and engine temperature in the right while the speedometer takes the centre stage. A small multi-information display sits on top of the speedo and to its left is a gear position indicator.
Tata Motors offers the Tiago hatchback for sale in a total of 7 model trims, namely - XE, XM, XZ, XZA, XZ (O), XZ+ and XZA+. The Tata Tigor is available in total 6 trim levels, namely - XE, XM, XMA, XZ, XZ+ and XZA+. Tata Motors is offering the fully digital instrument cluster only on the XZ+ and XZA+ model trims of these two cars.
