Toyota Kirloskar Motor (TKM) today announced the 19th edition of the Toyota Dream Car Art Contest (TDCAC), a flagship global initiative conceptualized by Toyota Motor Corporation Japan to nurture imagination and inspire future mobility innovators. The contest will be open to children aged 15 years and under across India from January 12 to February 12, 2026, offering young minds a platform to envision, design, and illustrate through the power of creativity and art.
About the Contest
The Toyota Dream Car Art Contest is conducted at the national level across 90+ participating countries, with Indian winners advancing to represent the country at the global World Contest.
The National Contest will identify three winners each across three different age categories:
- Category 1: 7 years and under
- Category 2: 8–11 years
- Category 3: 12–15 years
Participants are invited to submit their artwork under the theme “Your Dream Car,” which encourages unrestricted creativity by allowing children to think freely, innovate boldly, and visualize future mobility without boundaries. The top 9 winners (three from each category) will receive certificates of participation along with the honor of representing India at the Global Contest scheduled to be held after March 2026. Additionally, 18 finalists will be awarded digital certificates in recognition of their creative excellence.
Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Sabari Manohar, Executive Vice President, Sales-Service-Used Car Business, Toyota Kirloskar Motor, said,
“The Toyota Dream Car Art Contest reflects our enduring belief that imagination is the inception point of innovation. This remarkable annual initiative celebrates the extraordinary ability of children to envision a better, smarter, and more sustainable future through their art. As we introduce the 19th edition, we look forward to witnessing the fresh ideas and boundless imagination of children across India, whose visions will contribute in defining the future of mobility.”
In the previous editions, Indian participants have earned notable global recognition for their originality. At the 17th edition in 2024, Ms. Peruri Lakshmi Sahasra from Visakhapatnam won the prestigious Best Finalist Award at the Global Contest in the 12–15 age category, strengthening India’s presence on this international creative platform. These accomplishments reinforce Toyota’s commitment to nurturing creativity and empowering the next generation to dream boldly and innovate without limits.
