MG Gloster Officially Discontinued — Removed From MG India Website | V3Cars

With the hopes of the Majestor going on sale revived in 2026, MG promised to keep the Gloster on sale alongside the Majestor. However, we can see that the Gloster’s page is removed from MG India’s website. If you attempt to visit the URL https://www.mgmotor.co.in/vehicles/mggloster, it redirects you to the Majestor’s URL https://www.mgmotor.co.in/vehicles/mg-majestor-biggest-suv-india.

This sends a clear signal that the Gloster is gone for good. Meanwhile, the FAQs section on the MG Majestor’s page continues to claim that the Gloster will remain on sale with the Majestor, thus giving customers the option of two full-size SUVs from MG.

Do note, that this is not the first time MG India are failing to walk the talk. When launching the Windsor, MG India were offering something which was too good to be true. To buyers taking delivery of the Windsor before Jan 1, 2025, MG promised to offer early adopters of the Windsor unlimited free public charging for the first year of ownership. This helped MG and the Windsor brand accumulate a lot of publicity, which helped the car become a market leader among EVs in India. The Windsor also helped MG gain significant traction and essentially revived the MG brand in India.

However, they soon realised that this was not feasible in the Indian market. Just ~40 days after the last eligible customer took delivery of the MG Windsor, with the promise of unlimited free public charging for 1 year, MG withdrew the offer. The early adopters of the Windsor EV were notified that the free charging would be limited to only 1,000kWh. Moreover, upon enquiring with the customer support, it was informed to the customers that if someone had already consumed the 1000kWh quota, then they would not be eligible for any further free charging.
