Maruti Suzuki have continued the tradition of revealing a new product at every Auto Expo. At the 2023 Auto Expo, Maruti Suzuki revealed the Jimny 5-Door and opened bookings for the SUV right after the event. This time around, Maruti Suzuki have revealed their first mass-market electric car – the 2025 e Vitara. In this article, we take a look at the e Vitara’s specs, dimensions, features and more.

2025 Maruti Suzuki e Vitara Powertrain Specs
Here’s a look at the Maruti Suzuki e Vitara’s specs:
Powering the 2025 e Vitara is a choice of 2 battery pack sizes. A 49kWh battery will be offered for front-wheel-drive models, while a larger 61kWh battery will be available for both front-wheel-drive and all-wheel-drive configurations. This flexibility allows customers to choose the powertrain that best suits their needs and driving style.
The e Vitara equipped with the 49kWh battery pack produces 144PS of power, while the 61kWh battery and FWD produce 174PS of power. Both versions produce a maximum torque of 189Nm. The e Vitara AWD gets 2 electric motors producing a combined power output of 184PS and maximum torque of 300Nm.
Maruti Suzuki's new e Vitara electric SUV is built on the dedicated EV platform called the Heartect-e. This platform, designed with a focus on maximising interior space and optimising battery packaging, employs a skateboard architecture. This approach minimises overhangs, leading to a spacious cabin and efficient use of interior space. Furthermore, the Heartect-e platform prioritises safety with advanced features and high-voltage protection systems to safeguard the battery pack and ensure its longevity.

2025 Maruti Suzuki e Vitara Dimensions
Here are the dimensions of the e Vitara 2025 electric SUV:
With the dimensions mentioned above, it is clear that Maruti Suzuki are aiming at C-segment electric SUVs with the upcoming e Vitara. When launched, the e Vitara will not only rival the Tata Curvv EV and the MG ZS EV but also take on the Mahindra BE 6 and the Hyundai Creta EV.
Up front, the e Vitara features sleek LED headlights and Y-shaped LED DRLs. Personally, I’m happy that Maruti Suzuki aren’t following the current trend of offering connected LED headlamps. Instead, they have gone for a gloss black trim in between. The bumper is sculpted heavily and features a black lower portion along with an air dam, which is flanked by LED fog lamps.
Around the side, the e Vitara features blacked-out A- and B-pillars, while the C-pillar houses the rear door handles, just like the previous-gen Swift. The rear haunches are quite pronounced and the lower black cladding gives the e Vitara a rugged look. The e Vitara features 18-inch alloy wheels with aero inserts.
2025 Maruti Suzuki e Vitara Top Features
Here are the top features of the 2025 e Vitara:
On the inside, the 2025 e Vitara gets a dual-tone black-and-tan interior with soft-touch materials and a 2-spoke steering wheel. While the flat-bottom steering wheel does not feature an illuminated logo like in Tata’s EVs, it is functional with physical buttons for controlling various aspects of the car. The e Vitara also gets dual 12.3-inch integrated screens for infotainment and driver’s display. The AC vents feature brushed aluminium trim around it and the AC settings are accessed by physical buttons on the dashboard.
Below the AC controls lies a wireless phone charger with USB ports and 2 cupholders. The centre console gets a gloss black finish and houses the rotary drive elector, electronic parking brake, and various other controls, including hill descent control, surround view camera, and more.
In terms of safety, the e Vitara gets 7 airbags, including a knee airbag. It also gets Level-2 ADAS with features like lane keeping assist and adaptive cruise control. Disc brakes on all wheels, tyre pressure monitoring system and electronic stability proram (ESP) are also available.
