MG Hector Plus Latest Update

Update (Dec 4, 2023): MG Motor India today announced that they will increase the prices of their cars from January 1, 2024. The magnitude of the price hike for the Hector Plus and MG cars in general was not declared but we expect it to be in the 1-2% range.

The MG Hector Plus SUV is available with 3 engine-transmission combinations. The ex-showroom prices of the 2024 Hector Plus start from ₹17.30 lakh for the Style 7 Seater variant (Base Model) with the 2.0L turbo diesel engine and 6-speed MT. The range tops out at ₹22.93 lakh (ex-showroom) with the Savvy Pro 7 Seater variant (Top Model), which gets 1.5L turbo petrol engine with CVT. Here are the variant-wise prices below:

MG Hector Plus Dimension
The 2024 Hector Plus is 4699mm long, 1835mm wide and 1760mm tall. Bigger exterior dimensions give a car a stronger road presence. The Hector Plus has a 2750mm long wheelbase. A long wheelbase makes the car more stable at high speeds and gives better legroom in the back seat, while a shorter wheelbase makes the car more agile. The 2024 MG Hector Plus has a fuel tank capacity of 60 litres and a boot space measuring 155 litres. The Hector Plus has a ground clearance of 192mm. The tyre size of the 2024 Hector Plus base model is 215/55 R18 and the top model rides on 215/55 R18 tyres. Cars running on bigger wheels provide better handling and styling. However, these advantages come at the cost of efficiency. Having bigger wheels means more metal and more rotating mass. Therefore, it adversely impacts your drivability, performance and mileage.

MG Hector Plus Engine Specs
The MG Hector Plus is available with a 1.5L turbo Petrol engine and a 2.0L turbo Diesel engine. The 1.5L turbo Petrol engine is available with a 6-speed MT and a CVT transmission. The 2.0L turbo Diesel engine gets a 6-speed MT and a CVT transmission.
