MG Hector & Hector Plus Facelift Teased Ahead Of 2026 Launch – 4th Design Update Confirmed | V3Cars

MG Motor have finally broken their silence and officially teased the 2026 Hector and Hector Plus facelifts on their social media channels. This confirms what we at V3Cars reported last week – that the Hector twins are set to undergo yet another design update, becoming the only SUV in their segment to receive 4 different front-end designs within one lifecycle.

The new teaser does not reveal the full design of the Hector and Hector Plus facelifts. However, our source informed us that as part of the revision, the MG SUVs will get the following new features:

Refreshed new front design
Refreshed new rear design
Some kind of gesture control for the touchscreen AC & multimedia controls
Some change in alloy wheel design
A new dark blue exterior colour option

MG Hector & Hector Plus Facelift Exterior Design

We do not expect any changes on the powertrain front. So, we will most likely continue to see the same options as before, which include:

1.5L turbo petrol with 6-speed manual transmission
1.5L turbo petrol with CVT automatic transmission
2.0L turbo diesel with 6-speed manual transmission

There is still no clarity on a petrol-DCT or diesel-automatic combination — something many buyers continue to hope for.

Price Revision Expected

Given the cosmetic overhaul and added features, an upward revision in pricing is likely, although MG have not provided any indication yet. Their last update in 2023 kept pricing competitive despite big feature additions – so a moderate increase cannot be ruled out.

Launch Timeline

MG Motor India will unveil the Hector and Hector Plus facelifts on 15 December, 2025. The official launch is likely to take place early 2026, matching the timeline we reported earlier.
