The much speculated Hyundai Creta facelift has been launched in India. The newly launched SUV is priced at Rs Rs 9.44 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi) and goes all the way up to Rs 15.03 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi). Available in both petrol and diesel variants, the 2018 Creta will be offered with three different motors, while the 1.6-litre petrol engine will be offered in six trims - (E, E+, SX, SX dual tone, SX AT, SX (O), the 1.4-litre diesel will be offered with two variants - (E+, S) and five with the 1.6-litre diesel (S AT, SX, SX dual tone, SX AT, SX(O).

In terms of updates, the newly launched Hyundai Creta gets bold and aggressive front styling, Cascade Design Front Grille, Smooth creased hood lines, voluminous bumper, sculpted aerodynamic outside mirrors are integrated with LED side Indicators along with Side Body Cladding, Shark Fin Antenna and Glossy ‘A’ Pillar. The automaker also offers a number of additional features such as Bi-functional Projector Headlamps, LED DRL & Positioning Lamps, R17 Diamond Cut Alloys accentuates sporty look, Dual Tone Front & Rear Bumpers, Bold Front & Rear Skid Plates and Stylish Split Tail Lamps.
Talking about the interior, while the soft touch paint on crash pad, leatherette finish on the door, steering and seats add to the premiumness of the Creta SUV, the crash pad with its futuristic water flow inspired design and smart ergonomic contours make the cabin environment pleasing and enjoyable for the passengers. Additional features include First-in-segment - Smart Electric Sunroof and 6-way Power Driver Seats as well as Cruise control, Smart Key with push Button Start, FATC with Cluster ionizer, Sliding front armrest as standard, Driver seat height adjustment as Standard, Rear AC vents and Rear seats with 60:40 split. Other features include First in Segment - Smart Key band (H-Band), Wireless Phone Charger and AutoLink Connected Car Technology with new iBlue App Audio Control App.
Apart from these, the next gen infotainment system for enhanced connectivity and better user interface offers new 17.77 Touchscreen AVN system comes with IPS Display & Capacitive Touch for improved view ability and smoother operation along with smartphone connectivity - Android Auto, Apple CarPlay and MirrorLink for seamless integration of App based navigation, streaming audio and smartphone applications. Under the hood, the Creta facelift comes powered by three engine options- the 1.6- litre petrol producing 121 bhp and 151 Nm, 1.4- litre diesel motor generating 88 bhp and 220 Nm and 1.6- litre petrol mill churning out 121 bhp of maximum power and 151 Nm of peak torque. All the three engines come mated to either a 6-speed Manual transmission or the 6-Speed Automatic transmission as option. The automaker claims that the 2018 Creta now returns improved fuel efficiency by up to 3% in petrol and up to 4% in diesel engine. Apart from these, class-leading NVH performance has also been ensured by the use of enhanced sound absorption materials, advanced engineering design of engine, transmission and body structural parts thus ensuring quiet cabin. However, the use of dash insulators, anti-vibration pads, sound deadener coating on floor, optimized engine mounts, tunnel area rigidity and application of dual sealing structure on doors as the NVH has been well contained to barely perceptible levels.
The South Korean automaker also offers warranty of 3 Years Unlimited Kilometres with Road Side Assistance with the 2018 Creta. The newly launched Creta SUV is available with 7 Exterior single tone colour options and 2 Dual tone colour options. Additionally, two new colours have been added – Marina Blue and Passion Orange along with new Dual Tone Passion Orange and Black. The unofficial advanced bookings had already commenced at the authorized dealerships since the beginning of the month and the SUVs were spied arriving at the dealerships recently. Since then, the launch speculations started making the rounds and now the automaker has finally launched the next-gen Creta SUV in the country. The SUV will continue rival the Renault Captur (Rs 9.99-14.07 lakh), Maruti S-cross (Rs 8.62-11.33 lakh) and the seven-seat Honda BR-V (Rs 9.21-13.39 lakh) in the segment.
