The popular Mercedes-Benz GLE is getting all braced up to come out in its all new avatar. The highly successful luxury SUV’s new generation model has been spotted time and again while busily testing the roads in its test prototype model for some time now. We already know quite a few details about what the all new model of the GLE is going to offer to recast its charms on its fans. As the German luxury auto major continues to extensively test its GLE SUV’s new iteration, the spy shutterbugs continue to get chances of getting more glimpses of it. So, the all new Mercedes-Benz GLE has been spotted yet again.
The most recent sighting of the three-pointed star bearing luxury SUV shows that the model is inching closer to its final production model. When the exterior design language is concerned, the all new model is going to retain the basic design, while the upper side of the SUV is thought to be endowed with a sleeker look. It is also expected that the all new Mercedes GLE would be more aggressively styled while it could also offer a more rugged visual appeal. It will be flaunting more muscular wheel arches which have taken inspiration from the new 2019 G-Class.
Apart from fresher visual appeal and bolder looks, the new generation GLE SUV will also be coming endowed with a number of improvements and changes, which includes a lot of new techs and mechanical updates as well. One of the most notable mechanical changes will be the air suspension of the SUV. The company is going to offer improved long distance drive comfort and a gliding ride experience owing to the refined oscillation control.
When speaking of the lineup of the new generation 2019 Mercedes-Benz GLE SUV, sitting at the top of the range will be the Mercedes-AMG GLE63. The 2019 GLE63 will be packing in a 4.0 liter twin-turbocharged V8 mill that should be good to pump out 571hp of power. The more powerful S version of the vehicle will be belting out 612hp. Both the high-performance version models will be blessed with a 9 speed automatic transmission gearbox and get empowered by an Affalterbach-touched 4Matic All Wheel Drive system.
The Mercedes-AMG model range of the all new GLE is also expected to include a hybrid model. It is thought that a gas-electric drivetrain of the expected hybrid version would include an internal combustion mill that would come up with the GLE50 or GLE55 nameplate.
The next generation Mercedes-AMG GLE versions are expected to hit the global car market in the second half of 2018, the standard GLE range is going to come to the market sooner. In fact, the all new GLE is likely to make its official debut just few months from now.
Thus, the German auto behemoth is going to keep to its typical launching rule of bringing out the standard version of the GLE first, while the Mercedes-AMG iterations will come later and the GLE Coupe should also follow soon.
