Despite cosmetic changes and some new features, the 2019 Duster won’t look drastically different from the current model.
Renault has teased the 2019 Duster on its official India site. The teaser pic reveals the updated Duster’s headlamp and new blue body colour.
The updated Duster will feature projector-type headlamps with integrated DRLs. While it won’t be a major departure from the current version, the entire front section including the grille, bonnet and bumper will get design revisions. Renault will also take this opportunity to update the Duster’s alloy wheel design.
There will be changes to the interior design as well. The2019 Dusterwill feature a new steering wheel and minor revisions to the dashboard.
Along with the various cosmetic changes, the new Duster will be better equipped compared to the existing model. First up, the now-mandatory features like dual front airbags, front seatbelt reminder and rear parking sensor will be on offer across the range.
The French carmaker has also revealed its intent of offering petrol engines only in the BS6 era. It remains to be seen if Renault takes this opportunity to update the Duster’s petrol engine to meet the upcoming BS6 emission norms or not. What is also uncertain is whether there will be a diesel engine on offer on the 2019 Duster, which is expected to launch in July-August 2019.
