Hyundai have introduced the AMT option in the lower S variant of the Aura sedan, making the automatic transmission option accessible to a wider range of car buyers. In this article, we take a look at the prices, features and other details of the new Aura S AMT variant.

2025 Hyundai Aura Automatic Now Cheaper Than Before

Previously, the AMT in the Hyundai Aura was exclusively available with the higher-spec SX Plus variant. With the launch of the new Aura S AMT at an ex-showroom price of Rs. 8.08 lakh, Hyundai have made the automatic transmission significantly more accessible. This new variant undercuts the SX Plus AMT by approximately Rs 87,000, which should make the automatic transmission option more accessible for urban commuters and first-time car buyers seeking hassle-free driving in city traffic.

The Hyundai Aura, with its expanded lineup and more accessible AMT option, continues to rival other B2-segment sedans such as the Maruti Dzire, Tata Tigor, and Honda Amaze.

2025 Hyundai Aura S AMT – Features And Safety

The new Hyundai Aura S AMT comes equipped with a host of features that enhance both safety and convenience, setting a new benchmark in the entry-sedan segment:

The S AMT variant carries forward all the features offered with the S manual variant, including analogue dials for the instrument cluster with a multi-information display (MID), keyless entry, manual AC with rear vents, and a rear centre armrest with cupholders. The higher SX Plus AMT variant continues to offer premium features like an 8-inch infotainment system, wireless Apple CarPlay/Android Auto, auto AC, cruise control, and a wireless phone charger.

2025 Hyundai Aura S AMT Powertrain Details

The 2025 Aura S AMT is powered by Hyundai’s 1.2L normal petrol engine mated to a 5-speed AMT. The petrol engine produces 83PS of power and 114Nm of torque and drivers a claimed mileage of 20.30kmpl with the AMT.

It’s important to note that the AMT option is not available with the CNG variant of the Aura, which is powered by a 1.2L bi-fuel engine producing 69PS and 95Nm.
