The Q2 is Audi’s entry-level SUV and it will be slotted below the facelifted Q3 SUV, which will also go on sale in India soon. Although Audi has already debuted the Q2 facelift globally, the carmaker is expected to launch only the pre-facelift Q2 in India.
Under the hood, the Q2 is expected to be offered with a 2.0-litre turbo petrol engine only. It makes 190PS of maximum power and 320Nm of peak torque. Power will be sent to all four wheels via a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic gearbox.
The Q2 is expected to be loaded on the features front with auto LED headlamps, panoramic sunroof, two-zone control, a 10-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto and an optional 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster being a part of its equipment list. Safety features on offer shall include multiple airbags, ABS with EBD, front and rear parking sensors, traction control and electronic stability program.
As an introductory offer, Audi is offering a 5 years comprehensive service package along with 5 years (2+3) of warranty and roadside assistance with the Q2.
Talking about dimensions, the Q2 is 4191mm x 2009mm x 1508mm (LxWxH) and has a wheelbase 2595mm. With these dimensions, the Q2 is even smaller than the new Creta which measures 4300mm x 1790mm x 1635mm and has a wheelbase of 2610mm!

The Q2 is expected to go on sale in the coming weeks. Prices are expected to start around Rs 35 lakh. Although the Q2 doesn’t have any direct rivals in the Indian market, but it will compete against the likes of the BMW X1, Mercedes Benz GLA and the Volvo XC40.
