2020 Maruti Suzuki Dzire Facelift Petrol Engine Specs - Old vs New
The new Dzire facelift petrol has the same engine displacement and transmission options as before. The 2020 Dzire facelift packs 7PS of extra power compared to the older Dzire. The peak torque output remains the same but it’s now available 200rpm higher in the rev range. Despite this change, the driveability of the car should be better in the traffic because of the addition of dual-jet injectors and mild hybrid technology.

This technology was earlier available only in the Baleno and at the cost of about Rs. 90,000 over the non-hybrid variants of the hatchback. Maruti Suzuki has now added this in the Dzire for a nominal price hike of Rs. 6,000 to 22,000 while also adding safety and functional features.
2020 Dzire Facelift Fuel Efficiency / Mileage - Old vs New
The 2020 Dzire facelift’s biggest improvement comes in the form of significantly improved fuel efficiency. The car’s mileage on a litre of petrol has gone up by 13.72% for the automatic and 9.66% for the manual transmission. The new car promises 24.15kmpl with the automatic transmission and 23.26kmpl with the manual. That is a huge improvement over the older Dzire’s official fuel efficiency figure of 21.21kmpl for either transmission.
These figures should give you fewer reasons to miss the diesel engine, now that it’s no longer available.
