Ford has updated the variant lineup of EcoSport SUV. While it continues to come in five variants: Ambiente, Trend, Titanium, Titanium+ and S, the variant wise feature list has been updated for 2021.

Ford is now offering an electric sunroof on the Titanium variant. Earlier it was limited to the Titanium+ and S variants only. The Titanium variant now also gets electronic stability control, traction control and hill start assist. All of these features were earlier limited to the Titanium AT, Titanium+ and S variants. With this update, Ford has also stopped offering the Titanium+ variant with a manual transmission. As a result, it can now be had only with a 1.5-litre petrol engine paired to a 6-speed torque converter automatic.
The 1.5-litre petrol engine makes 122PS of power and 149Nm of peak torque, mated to either a 5-speed MT or a 6-speed AT. The diesel engine, on the other hand, is a 1.5-litre unit making 100PS and 215Nm, mated to a 5-speed MT.
Other features on the EcoSport remain unchanged. It continues to get up to 6 airbags, ABS with EBD, rear parking sensors, ISOFIX child seat anchors, auto HID headlamps, auto-dimming IRVM, rain-sensing wipers, push-button start, auto AC and an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto in the top variant. In lower variants, it gets a larger 9-inch touchscreen infotainment system that misses out on Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity.
Prices of the EcoSport range from Rs 8.19 lakh to Rs 11.73 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi). It will continue to rival the likes of the Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza, Toyota Urban Cruiser, Kia Sonet, Hyundai Venue, Mahindra XUV300, Tata Nexon and the Nissan Magnite.
