Under the hood, the S60 will be offered with a petrol engine only. It gets a 2.0-litre turbocharged engine making 190PS of power and 300Nm of torque mated to an 8-speed automatic transmission.

In terms of features, it gets a panoramic Sunroof, four-zone AC, wireless mobile charging, LED headlamps with bending function, digital instrument cluster, a 9-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto and a 600 watt Harman Kardon sound system.

Safety features on offer include City Safety with Steering Support, adaptive cruise control with pilot assist, autonomous emergency braking, lane-keeping aid, driver alert control and hill launch assist.

At an introductory price of Rs 45.9 lakh, the S60 is more expensive than its rivals like the BMW 3 Series, Audi A4 facelift, Mercedes Benz C-Class and the Jaguar XE. However, it is to be noted that the S60 is being offered in a single full loaded variant only and it undercuts top-spec variants of all of its rivals. BMW is also gearing up to launch the LWB version of the 3 Series sedan called 3 Series Limousine. It will go on sale on 21 January 2021 and will also compete with the S60 sedan.
