2022 Ford Endeavour Makes Global Debut - India Launch Unlikely | V3Cars

Ford Global have taken the wraps off the 2022 Everest that is also known as the Endeavour in some markets, including India. The 2022 Ford Endeavour gets design cues from the new Ranger pick-up. It gets a muscular design, a longer wheelbase and more powerful drivetrain options.

2022 Ford Endeavour - Exteriors

The 2022 Endeavour gets C-shaped LED headlights and a large chrome-studded grille. Moreover, the chrome and other design elements vary from trim to trim and Ford are offering the new Endeavour in three trims - Titanium+, Sport and Platinum. Ford have increased the track of the new Endeavour by 50mm to offer better comfort and articulation. The design of the new Endeavour is more muscular than before, thanks to the added cuts, creases and extended wheel arches. At the rear, the 2022 Endeavour gets connected LED tail lamps and a large rear glasshouse area.

2022 Ford Endeavour - Interiors

On the inside, Ford have made massive changes, with premium materials and the latest tech. Taking centre stage is the new 12-inch touchscreen infotainment that also supports Ford Pass. Other features include a 12.4-inch instrument cluster, 360-degree parking camera, auto park, panoramic sunroof, adaptive cruise control, and terrain modes. Ford have also increased the wheelbase by 50mm, leading to more space on the inside. Moreover, the second-row seats can be folded in a 60:40 split whereas the last row seats offer a 50:50 split.

2022 Ford Endeavour - Powertrain Options

With the 2022 Endeavour, Ford have introduced a new 3.0L V6 diesel engine. Ford are yet to announce the power figures of the new engine options. The 2022 Endeavour also continues with the 2.0L turbo and bi-turbo engine options. Moreover, select markets will also get a 2.3L turbo petrol engine option from 2023 onwards.

2022 Ford Endeavour - India Launch?

Ford India have pulled the plug on its local operations. While the brand claims it will roll out new products via the CBU route, we still await an official launch timeline for the upcoming products. The Endeavour was a successful product in the Indian market, with a strong fan base. As the 2022 Endeavour has now been unveiled, we look forward to hearing Ford’s plan for its India launch. In all likelihood though, the 2022 Endeavour may not make its way to the Indian market. Largely because of the expensive CBU route, which would increase the cost by a big margin.
