Hyundai Verna 2023 Bags 8,000 Bookings

Hyundai opened bookings for the 2023 Verna sedan back in February and its booking tally currently stands at over 8,000 units on launch day. The turbo petrol variants account for 25% of the total Verna bookings whereas the normal petrol variant account for the rest. Furthermore, the automatic variants of the Verna account for 40% of the total bookings. The bookings for the new Verna are open for a token amount of Rs. 25,000. Interested buyers can either visit their nearest Hyundai dealership or log on to Hyundai India’s website to make the booking.

Hyundai Verna 2023 Variant And Powertrain Details

Hyundai offer the new 2023 Verna in 4 variants — EX, S, SX and SX(O). The 1.5L normal petrol engine with the 6-speed manual transmission comes in all the 4 variants whereas the continuously variable transmission (CVT) is only available in SX and SX(O) variants. The 1.5L turbo petrol engine is only offered with SX and SX(O) variants with 2 transmission options – a 6-speed manual and 7-speed dual clutch automatic transmission options.

The 2023 Hyundai Verna continues to rival other C2-segment sedans like the Honda City facelift, Skoda Slavia and Volkswagen Virtus. It is worth mentioning that the Maruti Suzuki Ciaz also rivals the new Verna but it falls in the C1-segment owing to its length measuring under 4.5 metres. All the arch rivals of the Ciaz now measure over 4.5 metres in length, thus falling in the C2-segment.
