Over the years, ADAS, or advanced driver assistance systems, have trickled down from uber-expensive luxury cars to more affordable cars such as the Honda City and new Hyundai Verna. ADAS features, such as lane keeping assist, auto high beam, auto emergency braking, etc, are well on their way to become a common sight in mass-market cars. However, Maruti Suzuki are yet to offer these active safety features in their current portfolio of cars and their latest offering, the Invicto, could change that.

Since the Maruti Nexa Invicto is based on the Toyota Innova Hycross, we expect the Maruti MPV to carry over the features of the Innova Hycross, including ADAS — making it the first Maruti Suzuki to offer ADAS in India.

If the Maruti Suzuki Invicto becomes the first car from the brand to offer ADAS, we can expect the mass democratisation of ADAS features through more affordable cars from the carmaker. Moving forward, we can expect Maruti Suzuki to offer ADAS with their other premium products, such as the Grand Vitara and XL6.

Speaking of the ADAS features of the Innova Hycross, it offers the following active safety features:

• Auto high beam
• Auto emergency braking
• Adaptive cruise control
• Blind spot detection
• Rear cross traffic alert

Maruti Suzuki Invicto Standout Features

Apart from a host of ADAS features, the Maruti Suzuki Invicto is likely to offer a 10-inch infotainment system with wireless Apple CarPlay, a digital driver’s display, a wireless phone charger, powered driver and 2nd-row captain chairs, a panoramic sunroof, ambient lighting, a powered tailgate, a 9-speaker JBL sound system and an electronic parking brake.
