The upcoming Mahindra BE 07 electric SUV, which is expected to launch in 2027, was spotted charging at a public charging station recently. The latest Mahindra BE 07 spy shots offer a closer look at the exterior design and features, such as frameless doors, parallel deployable door handles and C-shaped lighting signatures.

Expected to sit above the BE 6 Sporteq in Mahindra’s EV portfolio, the BE 07 will be based on the brand’s INGLO platform.

The latest test mule retains the angular design language of the concept SUV.
At the front, it gets a clamshell bonnet, a squared-off fascia and C-shaped LED daytime running lamps (DRLs). The main headlamps appear to be positioned below the top element of the segmented LED DRLs, while the lower bumper features air inlets.
In profile, the BE07 appears larger than the BE 6 Sporteq. It gets pronounced wheel arches, lower body cladding, and a charging flap on the rear-left quarter panel. The test mule also appears to feature frameless doors, a feature not found in any car from a homegrown brand so far.
The spy shots also confirm the presence of electronically-activated, parallel deployable door handles. Unlike electronically-activated flush door handles on existing Mahindra models such as the BE 6 Sporteq, the entire handle extends outwards to make opening the door more convenient.
At the rear, the BE 07 gets C-shaped LED taillamps, a large roof spoiler and a clamshell-style tailgate. The rear wiper and washer appear to be neatly integrated beneath the spoiler. The centre portion of the spoiler also features 2 camera, suggesting the production model could get a digital inside rearview mirror (IRVM).
Earlier spy shots of the BE 07 revealed a triple-screen layout, with what appears to be three 12.3-inch displays spread across the dashboard. The cabin is expected to offer the same sporty steering wheel from the BE 6 Sporteq along with other features such as powered and ventilated front seats, wireless phone chargers and multi-colour ambient lighting.
The BE 07 could also get Mahindra's Adrenox connected-car suite, Level 2+ Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS), automatic parking functions and a 16-speaker Harman audio system with a claimed 1,400W output. These features remain unconfirmed for the production-spec SUV.
The Mahindra BE 07 will be based on the INGLO electric vehicle platform, which also underpins the BE 6, XEV 9e and XEV 9S. It is expected to share battery options with Mahindra’s other electric SUVs.
Possible battery pack options include 59kWh, 70kWh and 79kWh units. The larger 79kWh battery pack could offer a claimed range of close to 680km. The BE 07's larger dimensions compared with the BE 6 could affect its driving range, even if both SUVs use similar battery packs.

The Mahindra BE 07 is expected to go on sale in 2027. Once launched, it is expected to compete with electric SUVs such as the Mahindra XEV 9e, Vinfast VF7, Tata Harrier EV and BYD Atto 3.
Compared to the BE 6 Sporteq, the BE 07’s larger footprint coupled with a more practical design could make it an interesting option for buyers looking for a premium electric SUV.
