2023 Skoda Kodiaq Gets BS6-2 Compliant Engine

The Skoda Kodiaq now comes with a BS6 phase-2 and road driving emission (RDE) compliant 2.0L turbo petrol engine. The turbocharged 4-cylinder engine continues to produce 190PS of power and 320Nm of torque. However, thanks to the update, the engine now offers 4.2% more efficiency than the model it replaces. The 2023 Kodiaq is capable of sprinting from 0-100kmph in 7.8 seconds thanks to its 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission and 4-wheel-drive.

Increased Allocations For 2023 Kodiaq

Thanks to the high demand for 3-row SUV, Skoda India have increased the Kodiaw for India to 750 units per quarter. In the previous year, Skoda managed to sell all allotted units of the Kodiaq and all allotments were filled with 24 hours of booking commencement. Hence, the carmaker has increased the allocation for the Indian market to reduce the waiting period.

What’s New In The 2023 Skoda Kodiaq?

Apart from the engine update, the new Skoda Kodiaq offers new door edge protectors, which automatically appear from behind the door edge to save the door edges from dings and dents. Furthermore, the 2023 Skoda Kodiaq also offers a new rear spoiler with additional finlets, a lounge footrest and outer headrests for 2nd-row passengers.
