The Hyundai Creta and Kia Seltos share the same 1.5-litre normal petrol engine. It produces 115PS of power and 144Nm of torque. Both SUVs get the same transmission options as well – a 6-speed manual and CVT. However, the Creta petrol-manual offers a slightly better claimed fuel efficiency or mileage of 17.4kmpl over the Seltos’ 17.0kmpl figure. The 2024 Hyundai Creta petrol-automatic and Seltos petrol-automatic offer the same claimed fuel efficiency of 17.70kmpl. 

The Honda Elevate petrol-manual offers the lowest fuel efficiency figure in this comparison with 15.31kmpl, while the Astor petrol-automatic is at the bottom of the table with 14.82kmpl.

While the Creta and Seltos turbo-petrol get a 7-speed DCT automatic transmission, the Kia Seltos offers a 6-speed manual transmission as well. The Creta and Astor are the only turbo petrol SUVs that do not get the option of a manual transmission.

The Hyundai Creta and Kia Seltos offer the most power and torque among this bunch with 160PS of power and 253Nm of torque on tap. The Volkswagen Taigun and Skoda Kushaq’s 1.0-litre turbo petrol offers the least power and torque at 115PS and 178Nm, respectively.

The 2024 Hyundai Creta and Kia Seltos are the only C-segment SUVs that still offer a diesel engine. Both SUVs share the same 1.5-litre diesel engine. Both SUVs offer a 6-speed manual and 6-speed torque converter option. Additionally, the Seltos offers a 6-speed auto-clutch manual transmission too.

The Kia Seltos diesel with the 6-speed ACMT transmission offers the best fuel efficiency of 20.70kmpl. However, the Creta diesel manual offers 0.8kmpl more than the Seltos diesel-manual. Both SUVs offer the same claimed fuel efficiency figure with the 6-speed torque converter automatic transmission.
