2024 Thar Armada 5 Door Interior Features Spied
The latest interior spy shots of the Thar 5 Door offer a clearer glimpse of its new features, including the sunroof, 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system and rear AC vents. The latest spy shots also showcase the pillar-mounted grab handles for all 4 doors.
While the layout of the Thar 5 Door’s dashboard is similar to the Thar 3 Door, the former will come with a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system, at least in the top variant. In comparison, the Thar 3 Door features a 7-inch screen. We expect the new tuchscreen infotainment system to offer Android Auto and Apple CarPlay apart from showcasing various off-road data. The other prominent change over the Thar 3 Door is the new steering wheel borrowed from the XUV700.
Rear passengers in the Thar Armada will get access to floor-mounted AC vents placed in between the driver and front passenger seats. The additional vents should help cool the larger cabin of the Thar 5 Door quickly. The window for the 2nd row passengers, meanwhile, looks quite narrow but the Thar 5 Door gets a large rear quarter glass to aid visibility.

2024 Mahindra Thar 5 Door Powertrain Details
In terms of powertrains, we expect the new Thar 5 Door to retain the same 2.2L turbo diesel and the 2.0L turbo petrol engine options as the Thar 3 Door. However, both engines could offer more power and torque than the Thar 3 Door to overcome the extra weight. Both engine options are likely to come with manual and automatic transmission options along with 2WD and 4WD drivetrains. In the Scorpio N, the 2.2L turbo diesel engine comes in 2 states of tune — 130PS and 175PS. We expect Mahindra to offer the Thar 5 Door diesel with the higher power output while the Thar 5 Door petrol is expected to produce 200PS of power from its 2.0L turbo petrol engine.
2024 Mahindra Thar 5 Door Launch Details
Mahindra are yet to reveal the launch date of the Thar Armada 5 Door SUV. When launched, the Mahindra Thar 5 Door will rival the Maruti Suzuki Jimny and upcoming Force Gurkha 5 Door.
