Mahindra have added yet another variant to the XUV700 range called the AX5 Select (AX5 S). The new AX5 Select follows the launch of the MX 7-seater at the bottom of the range and the AX7 L Blaze Edition at the top. The new mid-spec AX5 Select variant of the XUV700 offers a few additional features over the AX3 variant to offer exceptional value for money. Let’s take a look:
2024 Mahindra XUV700 AX5 Select Ex-Showroom Prices
The new XUV700 AX5 Select variant is around Rs. 40,000 - Rs. 50,000 more expensive than the base AX3 5-seater variant, depending on the powertrain. Mahindra are offering the AX5 Select variant with several premium features that offer exceptional value features. Here are the features the XUV700 AX5 Select variant gets over the base AX3 variant:
- Panoramic sunroof
- Push button start-stop
- 2nd row reading lamp
Other features of the 2024 XUV700 AX5 Select variant include:
- Dual 10.24-inch screens
- Connected car tech
- 6-speaker audio system
- Wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay
- Rear armrest with cupholders
- Electrically adjustable ORVMs
Safety features include dual front airbags, ISOFIX child seat anchors, rear parking sensors.
Compared to the base AX3 variant, which only gets 5 seats, the new AX5 Select variant is only available with the 7-seater configuration.
The new Mahindra XUV700 AX5 Select lacks features such as LED headlamps with LED DRLs, dual-tone alloy wheels, fog lamps, cruise control, reversing camera and curtain airbags when compared to the more expensive AX5 variant.

Mahindra XUV700 AX5 Select Powertrain Specs
The Mahindra XUV700 AX5 Select variant gets the same 2.0-litre turbo petrol and 2.2-litre diesel engine option as the rest of the range.
The Mahindra XUV700 AX5 Select variant competes against other 3-row SUVs like the MG Hector Plus, Tata Safari, and the Hyundai Alcazar.
